Scientific Name: Pimenta dioica.  Common Name (s): Allspice, Jamaica Pepper, pimento.  A tropical tree native to Southern Mexico, Belize and Central America.  The tree can grow up to 40 foot high with attractive foliage.  The very popular culinary spice ("Allspice") is produced with the unripe and dried fruits of this tree. The name "allspice" is thought to have been coined by the English, who thought it combined the flavour of several aromatic spices, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. These are leathery, evergreen, opposite, oblong, aromatic and quite attractive. Easy to grow from seeds and makes a nice landscape item for tropical regions.

This item is a special hobby growers packet of twenty five (25) Pimenta dioica "Allspice" seeds to be delivered upon receipt of payment.
