Citrus limettioides - EXOTIC 'Sweet Lime' Tree 50 seeds

Scientific Name: Citrus limettioides. Common Name: Sweet Lime or limettas.

$ 7.95     Unavailable     Back

Scientific Name: Citrus limettioides. Common Name: Sweet Lime or limettas. A small upright citrus tree with white blossoms amd fruit that resembles a lemon except that it does not have the mouth-puckering sour taste. Its mild, sweet juice tastes like home-made lemonade. Don't know what variety it is but understand that the seeds were originally imported into Belize from California. In Belize, the tree remains in active growth all year. The leaves are dark green and fragrant. The fruit is eaten fresh. The peel oil has a strong lemon odor. It is grown mainly as an ornamental but should be trainable as a unique bonsai subject.  Easy to grow from seeds. The tree remains a manageable size and it makes an excellent landscape plant that is easily cared for. Tropical but can be wintered indoors in colder regions.  It will bloom year-round filling the air with the aroma of citrus blossom nearly all year. Flower and fruit often will appear at the same time.

This item is a special hobby grower's packet of fifty (50) Citrus limettioides 'Sweet Lime' seeds, to be delivered upon receipt of payment.
