Scientific Name: Syzygium jambos. Common name: Rose Apple. This is a beautiful tropical fruit tree that can grow to 20 feet in height and may be just about as wide. It makes a beautiful landscape tree in tropical regions and has spectacular flowers that are followed by fruit that is 1-2 inches in diameter. The fruit has a delicate flavor (tastes somewhat like a rose smells) and a crunchy texture.
