Scientific Name: Eryngium foetidum. Common Name: culantro. A tropical perennial herb native from Mexico to South America, but cultivated worldwide. It is widely used in seasoning and marination in Caribbean cooking. It is also used extensively in  Thailand, India, Vietnam and other parts of Asia as a culinary herb. This variety of coriander dries well, retaining good color and flavor, making it valuable in the dried seasoning industry. It is sometimes used as a substitute for cilantro, but has a much stronger taste. The leaves and roots drank in tea stimulate appetite, improve digestion, combat colic, stomach pains, eliminate gases and are an aphrodisiac. A robust and hardy plant that is easy to grow from seeds. It is an excellent xeriscape plant that is drought tolerant and easily cared in the garden or landscape. Just needs sunlight and space.

This item is a special value packet of fifty (50) Eryngium foetidum seeds, to be delivered upon receipt of payment. Note that the buyer pays $2.95 postage & handling.
