Punica granatum - Refreshing 'Pomegranate' 25 seeds

$ 3.95          Back

Quantity:

Scientific Name: Punica granatum.  Common name: 'Pomegranate'. The Pomegranates have probably been in cultivation longer than any other fruit tree but they have recently surged in popularity due to their health benefits. The fruit is about the size of an orange, with a leathery skin, containing hundreds of pulp-encased seeds. They are high in vitamin C and contain antioxidants. The plant is easy to grow from seeds and makes an excellent container plant that is easily cared.  It makes a are dense bushy plant and and has beautiful orange-red flowers to make it an attractive ornamental. In most of the US, this deciduous tree can be planted in the landscape, but it should be protected when temperatures drop to 12F. It makes an excellent bonsai subject that can be placed outside during the summer and moved indoors during the winter. The refreshing but slightly tart juice of this fruit is the key ingredient of the drink known as "granadine".

This item is a special rare fruit collector's packet of twenty five (25) Punica granatum 'Pomegranate' seeds, to be delivered upon receipt of payment. Note that the buyer pays $2.95 postage & handling.
