Scientific Name: Xiphidium caeruleum.  Common name: none known. A delightful little Iris-like plant with large spreading inflorescences of small white lily-like flowers on long branches. Native to Caribbean area and tropical America. Good as a  border plant. It is easy to grow from seeds and is commonly cultivated in the tropics as a garden ornamental for its small white flowers. It likes moist but well drained soils and a sunny location.
