Scientific Name: Passiflora foetida. Common Name: none known. Native to Mexico and Central America. It is a climbing and flowering perennial vine that has small bright red edible fruits. The seeds are very small and black. Thle stems and leaves are covered with fuzzy hairs. Can be grown as a patio plant, outside during the summer and indoors during the winter. It does make an unusual house plant! Used as a medicine in Belize treating head colds and high blood pressure. A tea of the leaves is used for some nervous disorders.
