This beautiful evergreen tree usually grows to about 25 ft (8 m) tall. Native to southern Mexico (including Yucatan), Belize, Guatemala and El Salvador. Widely grown in the tropical regions and the fruit can be eaten fresh, used in cooking, pies, excellent in ice cream. This tree is easy to grow from seeds and can be used as a landscape tree urban environments.
