Scientific Name: Ipomoea sp. Common Name: 'small wood rose'. This species is a member of morning glory family and native to Tropical America.
It is a vine that is excellent for creating shade on trellised walls. They have stunning flowers and are extreamly fast growing. The flowers are yellow, trumpet-shaped, clustered and dry in the form of a woody pod which looks like a cluster of wooden flowers. Florists can use them for special flower arrangements. A low maintenance plant that tolerates dry soil and will grow in numerous soil conditions. They prefer full sun. Given the right conditions, they will grow fast and produce abundant foliage and a continuous display of large, nicely colored, trumpet-shaped blooms.
