Scientific Name: Areca triandra. Common name: 'Triandra Palm'. This is a beautiful little palm native to India and other parts of south east Asia. It is clustering and reach a height of about 30 feed. It loves water so is not drought tolerant and can not tolerate frost. It has fragrant, lemon scented, pale yellow flowers and forms nice clusters of orange/red fruit. Easily grown from seeds. A truly elegant palm that is easily grown in the tropical or subtropical garden. It also makes a nice potted plant. Seeds are seldom available and very limited in supply.
