Scientific Name: Schippia concolor. Common name: 'Silver Pimento Palm'. This is a beautiful little palm native only to Belize. It is drought tolerant and easily grown from seeds. A truly elegant palm that is ealy grown in the tropical or subtropical garder. It has shiny green, deeply split fan-shaped leaves and attractive pale green to white fruits up to an inch in diameter. The slim solitary trunk is only about 3 inches in diameter. It also makes a nice potted plant. Seeds are seldom available and very limited in supply.
