Scientific Name: Sabal domingensis. Common Name: Palmetto or Hat Palm. Native to western Cuba and Island of Hispaniola (both Dominican Republic and Haiti). With its massive trunks it is very similiar to Sabal causiarum. Relatively rare in cultivation it should be a popular landscape item in tropical regions.
