Scientific Name: Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengeri'. Common Name: 'Sprengeri' Fern. Native to Africa, this is one of the best known species of purely foliage houseplants. This is one of the classic houseplants, with dramatic foliage and easy to care for. It makes an excellent hanging basket plant. Also excellent as a ground cover. Hardy in zone 7-10. Foliage will die back in zone 7 but will return from the roots in the spring. Easy to grow from seeds.
