Scientific Name: Enterolobium cyclocarpum. Common name: Guanacaste, Monkey Ear, Elephant Ear, Ear Pod Tree. The national tree of Costa Rica. This is one of the largest trees found in Mexico and Central America. Beautiful tree that is easily grown from seed. Can be used as an indoor container plant but will survive outside only in tropical regions. These seeds are great for crafts (i.e. jewelry making).
