Scientific Name: Caesalpinia pulcherrima. Common name: Dwarf Flamboyant, Dwarf poinciana, Pride of Barbados. A beautiful flowering tree with terminal flower clusters that are cream colored. Each flower has five showy petals with very prominent long stamens. An easily grown subtropical tree that does well in Florida or a container plant. It can reach a height of 6 to 10 feet but can be easily pruned to any desired size and shape.
