Botanical Name: Mansoa alliacea . Common Name:  'Garlic Vine'. Synonyms: Cydista aequinoctialis. A beautiful flowering tropical vine native to Belize and Central America. Flowers twice a year and you will quite often find it covered with flowers. The flowers start off a purple color and change to a lighter shade of lavender with age. Eventually they will fade to almost white. You can have three different colors of flowers at the same time. The vine has a strong garlic odor, and is even used as substitute for garlic in food. The entire plant - roots, vine and leaves, is useful. In traditional medicine it is used to reduce fevers, treat colds, throat, and respiratory ailments. The plant is said to help get rid a homestead of bad luck. Easy to grow from seeds.

This item is a special packet of thirty (30) Mansoa alliacea 'Garlic Vine' seeds, to be delivered upon receipt of payment. Note that the buyer pays $3.95 postage & handling.
